the top of one listing's band, not expected pay
Figures are computed from the live Sidequest board when this page is rendered. Rates are what a listing advertises, never earnings; 961 of 1208 listings state a positive hourly band, and only those enter the rate figures. Methodology

The first 12 of 1208 current listings, in board order. Every card links to the listing's own page, with the rate as the platform published it.

Fields with a current listing, largest first. A field with its own page links there; the rest open the board filtered to that field.

Remote jobs by advertised pay
Listings advertising an hourly ceiling of $100 or more have their own page, sorted by that ceiling. The board can also be sorted by rate, and the rates page and the market report give the medians by field and platform.
Remote jobs by platform
Where the current listings come from. Each platform page explains its screening, who it suits and what its listings advertise.
How this differs from a general remote job board
- Expert work, not everything remote
- The listings are for professionals with a credential or a track record: clinicians, lawyers, engineers, analysts, researchers, linguists. Sidequest does not list every remote job, and does not try to.
- Advertised pay, shown when stated
- A listing that publishes a rate shows it as the platform wrote it. One that does not says so. Nothing is estimated, and not every role pays at the top of the range on this page.
- Several platforms, one board
- Opportunities from platforms including Mercor, micro1, AfterQuery, Turing, Ethos and Handshake AI sit side by side, with a comparison of how each one screens and pays.
- AI training and adjacent expert contracts
- Most of the work is AI evaluation and training: grading model output, writing reference answers, reviewing domain accuracy, on platforms that primarily engage experts as independent contractors. The remote freelance jobs page explains that market for someone new to it; the market report describes it from the same live data; the board lists the roles themselves.
