The work
You will create and modify 2D games in Solar2D (Corona SDK), working across Lua scripts, gameplay mechanics, animation, UI, player controls, physics and collision detection. Tasks may involve debugging an existing project, improving performance or completing an advanced implementation while recording your screen and explaining each decision. You will also write clear instructions and detailed prompts for game development tasks.
What screening is likely to cover
Expect the platform to verify hands-on Solar2D experience through specific project examples and technical follow-ups about architecture, frame updates, physics, collisions, animation and mobile constraints. It may also test whether you can diagnose defects, compare alternative implementations and explain a reproducible workflow. English proficiency at B2 level or higher is required. A Solar2D or 2D game portfolio, Android or iOS experience, a relevant master's degree or PhD, and previous Human Data work such as annotation, RLHF or AI model evaluation are preferred rather than stated requirements.
Logistics
This is a remote contractor role. You need access to Solar2D and screen-recording capability, but the listing does not specify whether work is fully asynchronous or state typical weekly hours, task volume or project duration.
Pay band: $70–130/hr
