The work

This remote contractor role involves completing real-world development tasks in Open 3D Engine (O3DE). Day to day, you may create or edit scenes, game objects and physics simulations; work with Atom Renderer, Gems, components and Asset Processor; automate work through Python or C++ scripting; diagnose technical issues; and improve environment performance. You will record your screen and turn your process into clear instructions or detailed prompts for AI training.

What the screening is likely to examine

Expect an AI-led screen to verify specific O3DE projects and probe how you use components, assets, rendering and simulation workflows. It may also test whether you can diagnose an Asset Processor, physics or performance problem methodically, explain tool choices under follow-up, and distinguish a completed result from a reproducible workflow. Required language qualifications are English proficiency at B2 level or higher and experience with Python or C++ scripting.

Preferred background

A portfolio covering 3D development, game development or simulation is preferred. The listing also prefers a relevant master's degree or PhD and previous Human Data experience, such as data annotation, RLHF or AI model evaluation, but does not state that these are mandatory.

Practical details

The engagement is remote and structured as contractor work. Access to O3DE and the ability to record your screen are required; the listing does not disclose whether the workflow is fully asynchronous or specify typical weekly hours, so candidates should be ready to state their actual availability and confirm scheduling during screening. Pay band: $70–130/hr
