The work

Contributors turn real enterprise engineering workflows into evaluation tasks for AI systems. Day-to-day work may include framing a complex product or manufacturing scenario, specifying constraints and stakeholder inputs, drafting a defensible reference response, and building a rubric that separates senior engineering judgment from textbook recall.

Technical scope

Assignments may cover CAD and product design, FEA or CFD, thermal and fluid systems, structural and stress analysis, DFM/DFA, Six Sigma or DFSS, reliability and failure analysis, and manufacturing process engineering. Scenarios may involve SolidWorks, ANSYS, CATIA, MATLAB/Simulink, Siemens Teamcenter, or PTC Windchill. The US track uses ASME, including GD&T per ASME Y14.5, while the International track uses ISO, including ISO GPS. Experts qualified in either or both tracks are encouraged to apply.

Screening focus

The platform is likely to verify specific examples of product, manufacturing, or certification ownership rather than accept broad claims of seniority. Expect follow-up on assumptions, safety and regulatory constraints, cross-functional design governance, validation methods, change control, and the reasoning behind a scoring rubric or reference output.

Practical details

The listing does not specify whether the engagement is remote, how much of the work is asynchronous, or the typical weekly commitment, so candidates should confirm those terms during screening. Pay band: $80/hr
