What the work involves
You will be producing and grading real deliverables, not answering trivia. A typical task hands you a prompt resembling a request from a COO or service line director — model the bed capacity impact of converting a med-surg unit to observation, build a deck framing a payer contract renegotiation, draft a quality improvement report on a rising fall rate — and asks you either to produce the artifact yourself, or to judge what the model produced and rewrite it. Expect Excel models with visible assumptions, slide decks that survive an executive audience, and prose reports that a compliance officer would sign off on.
The evaluation half is where most of the difficulty sits. Model output in this domain is usually fluent and frequently wrong in specific ways: LOS calculations that quietly mix observation and inpatient days, staffing models that use worked hours where they need paid hours, dashboards that report a case mix index without adjusting anything by it, reimbursement math that ignores the difference between charges, allowed amounts, and collections. You are asked to find those errors, say precisely why they matter operationally, and fix them.
What the platform screens for
- Ownership, not adjacency. The screen probes whether you personally built the throughput or staffing model, briefed leadership with it, and defended the assumptions — or whether you sat near someone who did.
- Domain depth under follow-up. Expect the AI screener to push on a metric you mention: how you defined it, what denominator you used, what broke when the definition changed.
- Artifact craft. Spreadsheet structure, slide logic, and written clarity are assessed as skills in their own right, not as decoration on domain knowledge.
- Calibrated critique. Reviewers who flag everything and reviewers who flag nothing are both filtered out.
Logistics
Fully remote and asynchronous — tasks are claimed from a queue, and there are no standing meetings. The stated commitment is 5–20 hours per week with room to take more. Pay is observed at $100/hour for this cohort; rates on these engagements vary by task type and are not guaranteed. The interview process includes an AI voice screen.
