What the work involves

This is slide work, judged by consultants. On a typical task you'll either author a reference deck to a prompt — a market entry recommendation, a CDD readout, a competitor benchmarking exhibit — or take a model-generated deck and mark it up the way an EM marks up an associate's draft. The evaluation half is where most of the hours go: identifying that an action title states an observation rather than a conclusion, that the storyline is a list of topics instead of a pyramid, that a waterfall chart's bridge doesn't reconcile, that a 2x2 has been drawn because it looks consulting-ish and not because the axes discriminate anything.

Work spans the core workflows named in the brief: market entry decks, commercial due diligence presentations, growth strategy storylines, competitor analysis exhibits, and board presentations. You will be asked to write the reasoning behind your judgments, not just the verdict — a rating without a stated rule teaches the model nothing.

What the platform screens for

  • Firm and tenure: 3+ years at a recognized tier-2 or boutique strategy firm. Ethos verifies this and the AI voice screen probes it.
  • Storylining under questioning: whether you can restructure a weak deck flow live, and articulate why the new sequence holds.
  • Slide craft specificity: real PowerPoint fluency — exhibit choice, data-ink discipline, source footnoting conventions, page architecture.
  • Written precision: your critiques are training signal, so vague feedback like "needs to be sharper" scores poorly.

Logistics

Fully remote and fully asynchronous, with no fixed hours. Commitment is flexible at 5–20 hours per week, more if you want it. The observed rate is $80/hour; bands on these projects move with task type and tenure and are never guaranteed. Screening includes an AI voice interview before any paid work is assigned.
