The work

You will examine digital claim evidence such as CCTV and dashcam footage, scene photographs, witness or claimant statements, engineering reports and telematics data. Day-to-day tasks include reconstructing accident or loss sequences, testing claimed causation against the available evidence, identifying anomalies associated with staged incidents or organized fraud, and documenting the reasoning behind each conclusion.

Expected output

Written assessments should be suitable for SIU investigators or forensic engineers. That means separating observations from inferences, explaining the significance of conflicting evidence, acknowledging material limitations and avoiding conclusions that the record cannot support. You may also discuss findings verbally when clarification or feedback is needed and contribute investigative or forensic best practices to the project.

Screening focus

Expect the platform screen to test verifiable investigative experience, familiarity with visual and technical evidence, and judgment in ambiguous claim scenarios. The strongest responses will use specific anonymized cases to explain how evidence was authenticated, compared and weighted. A minimum of seven years in special investigations, SIU, insurance fraud detection, forensic engineering (PE) or fleet safety review is preferred. Experience writing reports or affidavits and previous remote consulting or advisory work are also preferred.

Logistics

This is a global-remote contractor role requiring about 10 hours per week. Work is asynchronous and the schedule is flexible, including the option to work weekends. No prior AI experience is required. Pay band: $20–60/hr
