The work

You will design technically difficult problems grounded in device physics, process integration, circuit design, lithography, packaging, yield, reliability, or another area of semiconductor engineering. Each problem needs realistic constraints and supporting data, a correct worked solution, and grading criteria that distinguish sound analysis from a merely plausible answer.

Review and evaluation

You will also review problems written by other contributors, check their technical assumptions and methods, and flag items that are ambiguous or cannot be graded consistently. The platform screens for verifiable principal, staff, fellow, or faculty-level experience, hands-on ownership within a semiconductor subdomain, and the ability to explain reasoning precisely enough for another engineer to reproduce the verdict.

Qualifications

A Master’s or PhD in electrical engineering, materials science, applied physics, or a closely related field is required. Publications, patents, technical leadership, and prior AI or LLM evaluation work are advantageous, but the listing does not make them mandatory.

Logistics

This is a fully remote contractor role with flexible commitment intended to fit alongside an existing position. The listing does not state typical weekly hours or whether work must be completed on a defined asynchronous schedule. Pay band: $85–185/hr
