The work

You will design technically demanding problems in areas such as aerodynamics, propulsion, structures, guidance, navigation and control, orbital mechanics, or systems engineering. Day-to-day tasks include assembling realistic constraints and supporting data, producing a complete worked solution, defining objective grading criteria, reviewing other contributors’ problems, and flagging submissions that are ambiguous or cannot be graded reliably.

What the screening assesses

The platform screens for a Master’s or PhD in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related field, together with principal, staff, or fellow level aerospace experience or a faculty appointment at a leading university. Expect follow-up questions about work you personally owned, the assumptions behind your analysis, how you distinguish a correct solution from a plausible error, and whether another expert could reproduce your verdict from the evidence provided. Publications, patents, technical leadership, and AI or LLM evaluation experience are advantageous but not required.

Practical details

This is a fully remote contractor opportunity with a flexible commitment intended to fit alongside an existing role. The listing does not specify typical weekly hours or explicitly guarantee an asynchronous schedule, although the core work is organized around producing and reviewing technical deliverables. Selection includes screening questions, an AI interview, profile review, and onboarding.
