The work

You will design realistic engineering problems in areas such as process design, production systems, quality engineering, automation, supply chain, and operations modeling. Day-to-day work includes supplying constraints and supporting data, producing a verifiable solution, building objective grading criteria, reviewing other contributors’ problems, and flagging tasks that are ambiguous or cannot be graded reliably.

What the screening assesses

The platform screens for a Master’s or PhD in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical engineering, or a closely related field, together with principal, staff, or fellow-level manufacturing experience or a faculty appointment at a leading university. Expect follow-up on projects you personally owned, the technical assumptions behind your decisions, and how you distinguish a correct answer from one that is merely plausible. Publications, patents, technical leadership, and prior AI or LLM evaluation work are useful supporting evidence, but AI experience is not required.

Practical details

This is a fully remote contractor opportunity with flexible commitment intended to fit alongside an existing role. No typical weekly hour range is stated, and the listing does not confirm that the workflow is fully async, so candidates should be prepared to clarify scheduling and turnaround expectations during onboarding.
