The work

This is presentation-craft evaluation for a language model being taught to produce professional slide decks in a restructuring context. Tasks are organized around the deliverables that actually move in a distressed situation: 13-week cash flow exhibits and the variance commentary that accompanies them, lender update decks, turnaround plan presentations, creditor committee materials, and situation overview decks used early in a mandate.

A typical assignment has three shapes. You author a gold-standard deck or exhibit from a fact pattern, working the way you would for a client. You grade model-generated slides against a rubric covering structure, numerical coherence, labeling discipline, and audience appropriateness. Or you take a near-miss deck and rewrite it, documenting what you changed and why — the written rationale is often worth more to the lab than the corrected slide itself.

What the screen looks for

  • Real tenure inside a restructuring advisory firm or distressed practice, described in terms of mandates and deliverables rather than job titles.
  • Whether you can articulate the difference between a slide that informs a secured lender and one aimed at an unsecured creditors' committee — audience calibration is the core skill here.
  • Fluency with the mechanics: TTM vs. rolling forecast, receipts and disbursements build, DIP budget variance, footnoting assumptions so a skeptical reader can reconstruct the number.
  • Ability to fault a deck precisely. "This feels off" scores poorly; "the bridge doesn't tie to the ending cash balance on slide 7" scores well.
  • PowerPoint craftsmanship as a genuine competency — alignment, hierarchy, chart choice, footnote convention.

Logistics

Fully remote and asynchronous, with a flexible 5–20 hours per week and room for more if you want it. Work is claimed from a queue rather than assigned on a calendar, so the hours suit people with an active practice or between mandates. The observed rate on this listing is $100/hour; rates on the platform vary by task type and calibration performance and are not guaranteed. Screening includes an AI voice interview covering your background and a few applied judgment scenarios.
