What the work actually is

You are the sign-off authority on consumer-finance AI output. Day to day that means authoring discovery parameters a model should ask about before it builds anything — income cadence (weekly, biweekly, irregular 1099), debt structure and interest terms, emergency-fund status, savings goals with dates — and writing the guardrails that stop a model from producing a budget that silently doesn't balance. You will co-design interview workflows, validate context files of the kind real clients hand over (bank and credit-card CSV exports, loan statements, scribbled budget notes), and verify "golden" artefacts: amortisation and payoff schedules, budget rollups, net-worth formulas, validation dropdowns, bill calendars, subscription auditors. A large share of the job is formula-level: does the avalanche schedule recompute correctly when a payment is missed, does the sinking-fund row survive a month with five Fridays, does the category total actually tie to the account total.

This is explicitly personal finance as coaches and planners practise it, not corporate FP&A. DTI, snowball versus avalanche, 50/30/20 versus zero-based, HSA and Roth ordering, minimum-payment traps, credit-utilisation effects — that vocabulary needs to be first-hand, not read-about.

A note on the posting

The requirements block on Turing's listing is carried over from a different quest: it asks for travel planning, event coordination, and vendor deposit tracking. The role overview and responsibilities are unambiguously personal finance. Read the transferable parts as genuine — multi-step workflow decomposition, deterministic spreadsheet logic, per-person cost splits, contingency buffering — and expect the screen to test consumer-finance depth. If asked, say plainly which body of experience you hold.

Logistics

  • Your own desktop or laptop and a stable high-speed connection.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, any field. Prior AI evaluation, annotation, or QA work is a plus, not a gate.
  • Process: shortlisted candidates receive a Job Interest Form, then a delivery interview.
  • Pay band undisclosed on this listing.
