The work
Pediatric hospitalists review clinical notes and raw FHIR data used in an AI training project. Day-to-day tasks include determining whether clinical statements and claims are supported by the record, checking HPI, PMH, birth and developmental history, immunization status, assessments, and plans, and identifying missing or inconsistent information. Reviews may also cover weight-based dosing, age-appropriate care, newborn or nursery documentation, subspecialty co-management, and complex chronic conditions.
What the platform screens for
The screening is likely to test recent inpatient pediatric experience, command of admission through discharge workflows, and the ability to explain chart-review judgments using specific record evidence. Candidates should be prepared to distinguish unsupported documentation from clinically plausible but unrecorded conclusions, interpret structured and narrative data together, and apply a rubric consistently across cases. Experience in clinical documentation improvement, utilization review, medical coding, QA, or similar review work is useful but listed as a plus.
Logistics and compensation
This is a remote contractor role. The listing does not state typical hours or confirm that all work is asynchronous, but compensation is output-based and paid per task that meets project specifications. A minimum number of tasks must be submitted each week, although the listing does not disclose that minimum.
The observed pay band is not guaranteed:
Pay band: $80–125/hr
