The work
You will develop analysis on naval operations, platforms and doctrine using direct fleet, program or intelligence experience. Day-to-day assignments may include synthesizing classified and unclassified data, reviewing AI-generated material for substantive errors, drafting recommendations and preparing briefings for senior military or civilian leaders.
What the platform screens for
micro1 is looking for verifiable U.S. Navy, MARAD/DOT or comparable maritime and defense experience, along with judgment developed in classified or high-stakes settings. Screening is likely to probe how you reason from evidence, distinguish operationally meaningful issues from surface-level errors and communicate conclusions to executive or flag-level audiences. Familiarity with Pentagon processes, OPNAV, NAVSEA or PEO environments is valuable, while Intelligence Community experience and a relevant master’s degree are described as assets. Prior AI experience is not required.
Working environment
This is a contractor position performed on-site in Arlington, Virginia or the Washington, DC area, not a remote role. The work takes place in a secure environment and may require handling TS/SCI material under applicable project and facility protocols. Typical weekly hours and the engagement duration are not disclosed, so candidates should be ready to state their specific recurring on-site availability during screening.
Pay band: $50–100/hr
