What the work actually involves

You receive an image of a marketing, sales, or communications slide — a campaign performance review, a brand strategy page, a sales pitch deck spread, an investor update — and rebuild it natively in PowerPoint. Reconstruction is the floor, not the goal: the slide should come back with cleaner visual hierarchy, a chart type that fits the data, a headline that states the takeaway rather than labelling the topic, and a structure that a CMO or a board member could read in fifteen seconds.

The second deliverable matters as much as the slide. For each one you write a log explaining every change and, critically, every non-change. If the original used a stacked bar where you would have used small multiples but the comparison genuinely called for cumulative totals, you say so and defend the original author. If a slide carries an attribution caveat, a methodology footnote, or a compliance disclaimer that looks like clutter, it stays — and the log explains why. This is where the training signal lives: models learn from articulated reasoning, not from a prettier deck.

What the platform screens for

micro1's screen is AI-led and conversational, and it pushes on depth. Expect to be asked how you would restructure a specific kind of deck, why one chart form beats another for a given claim, and how you distinguish a weak original decision from an unfamiliar-but-correct one. Recruiters are looking for practitioners — three or more years in marketing, brand, sales enablement, corporate comms, or agency work, with real executive-level deck experience. Industry practitioners are explicitly valued at least as highly as consulting backgrounds. No AI experience is required, and claiming shallow familiarity with it helps less than demonstrating that you can explain a layout decision precisely.

Logistics

  • Fully remote, contractor engagement, task-based and largely asynchronous
  • Observed band is $150–350/hr, set by depth of experience and screening outcome — as reported, not guaranteed
  • Requires your own licensed desktop Microsoft PowerPoint; Google Slides or web-only versions will not carry the formatting fidelity the task needs
  • Volume varies with customer demand; treat it as supplementary rather than replacement income
  • A $500 referral bonus is advertised on the platform
