What the work involves
You receive an image of a business slide — a property performance review, a guest experience summary, an F&B strategy page, an occupancy or demand forecast — and rebuild it in Microsoft PowerPoint. That means fixing the title so it states a finding rather than a topic, choosing an exhibit that actually supports the claim, tightening the message hierarchy, and correcting anything that misuses industry terms. RevPAR, ADR, occupancy versus compression nights, covers versus check average, GOPPAR: the model is learning from you whether these are used correctly and whether the caveats travel with the number.
The second half of the deliverable is the change log. For each edit you write what you changed and why; for elements you deliberately left alone, you write why they were already right. Reviewers weight this heavily — a beautiful slide with a thin log is a weak submission. Slides typically run 1–2 hours each, including documentation.
What the platform screens for
- Real sector time. Three-plus years inside hospitality, travel, tourism, or food and beverage — operator, brand, asset management, consulting, or agency side. Expect follow-ups on metrics you claim to know.
- Executive deck experience. Owners' meetings, board packs, brand reviews, client pitches. Screeners probe whether you built them or only presented someone else's.
- Advanced PowerPoint. Native charts, alignment discipline, waterfall and bridge exhibits, tables that read at a glance. Not design software, not a template gallery.
- Defensible judgment. You will be asked to justify an exhibit choice against an alternative and to explain when you would keep a mediocre original element rather than replace it.
- AI training experience is welcome but explicitly not required.
Logistics
Fully remote, contractor engagement, asynchronous. Work arrives in sprint-based cycles you opt into according to your availability — there is no fixed weekly minimum, but reviewers favour contributors who can commit predictable blocks during an active sprint. You need a licensed desktop Microsoft PowerPoint installation; web and Slides exports are generally rejected because formatting fidelity matters. Observed pay for this listing is $150–350/hr, typically set by depth of sector seniority and quality of early submissions; rates are as reported, not guaranteed.
