What the work actually involves

You receive an image of a business slide — an org design chart, a competency framework, a training rollout timeline, a compensation benchmarking exhibit — and rebuild it in Microsoft PowerPoint at a standard you would put in front of a CHRO or a client steering committee. That means reworking the message hierarchy, giving the slide an evidence-supported title rather than a label, choosing the right exhibit for the claim, and cleaning up layout and data visualisation. It is not a beautification pass: you are expected to edit content, and equally expected to recognise when a definition, caveat, or footnote exists for a reason and must survive intact.

The second half of every task is the written log. For each slide you document what you changed and why, and — the part most candidates underweight — which original choices you kept on purpose. A retained "benefits-eligible headcount excludes contingent workers" caveat, an intentionally unaggregated pay band, a deliberately conservative attrition projection: these are the judgments that make the data useful for model training. Reconstruction without rationale has little value here.

What the screen looks for

The AI-led interview probes for real HR and L&D depth under follow-up — can you distinguish a competency model from a job architecture, explain why a compa-ratio chart and a pay-gap chart answer different questions, or name what goes wrong when span-of-control data is averaged across functions. It also tests slide judgment: whether you can articulate why a title is a finding rather than a topic, and whether you know the difference between simplifying a slide and stripping the qualifier that kept it accurate. Prior AI work is genuinely not required; unclear domain reasoning is the usual reason applications stop.

Logistics

  • Fully remote, contractor engagement, asynchronous within sprint deadlines.
  • Assignments sized at roughly 1–2 hours each; volume fluctuates by sprint, so this suits people who can absorb uneven weeks.
  • Requires your own licensed desktop Microsoft PowerPoint — reconstruction fidelity matters and browser-only equivalents are not a substitute.
  • Pay band is as observed on the platform for this project, not a guaranteed rate; expect it to vary with seniority and sprint scope.
