The work
You will translate real consulting engagements into realistic but self-contained work environments. Day to day, this means creating client context, business data, reference documents, stakeholder requirements, task instructions, analyses, presentations, executive recommendations, and objective criteria for evaluating the resulting work.
What the screen assesses
micro1 is looking for at least five years of management or strategy consulting experience, including direct ownership of substantial workstreams and client-facing deliverables. The AI-led interview is likely to test whether you can explain specific engagement decisions under follow-up, design credible multi-step consulting tasks, distinguish strong from superficially polished output, and use agentic tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or Claude Cowork for substantive work rather than general chatbot assistance. Experience at a top-tier firm, in commercial due diligence, transaction strategy, or corporate carve-outs, and in review standards, training, playbooks, benchmarks, or AI evaluation is preferred rather than required.
Logistics
The contract is remote, with candidates in the US and Canada preferred and candidates in the UK and Latin America also considered. The required commitment is at least 10 hours per week, with 20 or more preferred. The listing estimates about 15 hours for initial environment development and about three hours per subsequent task, including agent execution time. Work is paid per task; the listing does not explicitly confirm that all collaboration is asynchronous.
