The work

You will review market insights, analyses and strategic recommendations concerning luxury automotive businesses. The core task is to identify unsupported assumptions, logical gaps, internal inconsistencies and recommendations that do not reflect sector realities such as controlled production, allocation, pricing power, residual values, personalisation, dealer relationships, electrification and brand heritage. Deliverables will primarily be clear, structured written feedback, with a short debrief call as an optional addition.

What Mercor screens for

Mercor is looking for at least 10 years of business strategy experience, including substantial and demonstrable luxury automotive work. Relevant backgrounds include senior strategy consulting, leadership or strategy roles within a luxury automaker, and senior advisory or board-level work. The screen is likely to test whether you can support your background with specific engagements and apply executive judgment to realistic strategic tensions. Excellent written communication in English is required.

Logistics

This is a short, focused, remote engagement designed to fit around existing commitments. The document review is primarily asynchronous, although the project may include an optional debrief call. Typical weekly hours and the overall project duration are not stated, so candidates should be ready to explain their near-term availability and turnaround capacity.
