The work
This remote contractor role combines legal analysis with AI evaluation. Day to day, attorneys may review litigation and transactional documents, draft sample agreements or clauses, analyze legal scenarios, and provide structured feedback on whether simulated work is accurate, precise and practically useful. The project spans M&A, private equity, capital markets, data privacy and cross-border transactions.
What micro1 screens for
The screening is likely to test whether you can support your background with specific matters, explain sophisticated legal reasoning under follow-up, and identify material defects in legal outputs. Relevant experience includes work at an AmLaw 100 or similarly prestigious firm, complex litigation and transactional practice, high-value M&A or private equity matters, and the development or application of review rubrics. A JD from a US law school and active US bar admission in good standing are preferred.
Working approach
The work involves remote collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and iterative feedback cycles. You may need to translate legal judgment into clear annotations, decision criteria and sample language that can be applied consistently by people outside your immediate practice area. Prior AI experience is not required.
Logistics
The engagement is remote and structured as contractor work. The listing does not disclose expected weekly hours, project duration, time-zone requirements or whether assignments are fully asynchronous, so candidates should confirm those points during the process.
Pay band: $140–400/hr
