The work

This remote contractor role focuses on legal questions involving media and entertainment transactions, publishing rights and FCC communications regulation. Day to day, contributors may analyze rights clearance, content licensing, broadcast regulation, regulatory compliance and pre-publication review scenarios, then document both the conclusion and the reasoning that supports it. The work also includes reviewing other contributors’ analysis for legal accuracy and clarity.

What the screening assesses

micro1 is looking for attorneys who can demonstrate at least five years of hands-on media or communications law practice, rather than supervisory-only or adjacent exposure. The AI interview is likely to test whether you can identify controlling facts, explain jurisdictional or regulatory uncertainty, distinguish settled rules from contested issues and recognize when a scenario is too ambiguous to answer responsibly. A corporate law foundation is requested, with experience at a Vault 100 firm described as ideal rather than mandatory. No prior AI experience is required.

Logistics

The engagement is remote and open worldwide, provided you hold an active U.S. bar admission in good standing. Work is assigned on a contractor basis and must be delivered on schedule at the required quality level. The listing does not disclose typical weekly hours or confirm that all work is asynchronous.
