What the work involves

You'll work from prompts that mirror real engagement deliverables — an exhibit pack supporting an expert report, a damages summary for counsel, a regression output translated into three slides a regulator will actually read, a client briefing on market definition. Some tasks ask you to build the deck yourself as a reference standard. Others put a model-generated deck in front of you and ask what a senior consultant would send back with red pen: a mislabelled axis on a but-for revenue chart, a confidence interval quietly dropped from a coefficient table, a headline that asserts causation the specification doesn't support, a footnote that fails to cite the data vintage.

The written rationale matters as much as the fix. An annotation that says "chart is unclear" teaches the model nothing; one that says "the y-axis truncation exaggerates the divergence between actual and but-for series, which would be attacked on cross" teaches it a lot. Expect to spend real time writing, not just clicking.

What the platform screens for

  • Verifiable firm experience. Three or more years at an economic consulting firm or in an applied advisory role. The screen will probe what kinds of matters you worked on and what you personally produced versus what the team produced.
  • Depth under follow-up. Expect the voice screener to pick one thing you mention — a damages methodology, a diff-in-diff spec, a regulatory filing — and push two or three layers down.
  • Slide craft as a technical skill. Exhibit conventions, chart selection, defensible labelling, what survives deposition or a regulator's read.
  • Evaluation judgment. Whether you can rank two imperfect decks and articulate why, rather than rewriting everything to your own taste.

Logistics

Fully remote and asynchronous. Work is claimed from a queue on your own schedule; 5–20 hours per week is the stated range, more if you want it. There is an AI voice screen in the interview process, typically 15–25 minutes. Pay is observed at $80/hour and is not guaranteed across task types or over time.
