The work

You will compare pairs of AI-generated responses to litigation assignments, including research memoranda, pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery work, and case strategy. For each comparison, you will select the stronger response and write a concise justification grounded in the source materials and applicable US law. You may also create litigation prompts, fact patterns, and model answers, while identifying legal errors, unsupported conclusions, omissions, and risky advice.

What the platform screens for

Mercor is looking for attorneys who can make defensible comparative judgments rather than merely spot surface-level writing differences. Screening is likely to test the specificity of your litigation experience, command of motion practice and discovery, ability to distinguish material defects from minor imperfections, and skill in explaining why one legal answer is stronger. The stated requirements are active admission in at least one US state, an ABA-accredited J.D., and at least three years of US litigation practice. AmLaw 100 experience and prior legal AI, annotation, evaluation, or benchmark work are preferences rather than stated requirements.

Logistics

The role starts immediately, with applications reviewed on a rolling basis. Work is recurring as projects launch, and onboarding and calibration sessions are part of the engagement. The listing does not specify whether work is remote or asynchronous, nor does it state typical weekly hours, minimum availability, or a fixed project duration.
