The work
You will review Telugu output from a large language model across translation, summarization, dialogue and grammar correction tasks. Day-to-day work may include scoring accuracy and naturalness, editing or rewriting responses, annotating grammatical, syntactic and semantic features, and documenting recurring model errors or gaps.
What Mercor screens for
The core requirement is native or near-native fluency in Telugu, supported by professional experience in Telugu translation, editing, linguistic annotation or NLP data work. Screening is likely to test whether you can explain subtle grammar and syntax decisions, distinguish regional variation from genuine errors, preserve meaning while improving style, and provide feedback that AI researchers can use. Interest in AI and LLM-driven language technologies is preferred but not required.
Practical details
The listing describes work with distributed, remote teams. It does not state typical weekly hours, project duration or whether all work is asynchronous, so candidates should confirm scheduling and availability expectations during screening.
