The work
You will conduct remote, evidence-based cargo assessments for a logistics-focused AI project. Typical tasks include reviewing reefer temperature logs, condition records, shipment photographs, damage reports and compliance documents, then determining condition, likely causation, potential loss and any limits imposed by incomplete evidence.
Technical scope
Assignments may cover refrigerated and temperature-controlled cargo, finished vehicles, food transport, container integrity, cargo securing and lashing, and marine hatch-cover inspections. You will write structured findings and damage attributions with the clarity, technical reasoning and qualifications expected in a signed surveyor's report, while also providing feedback used to train and evaluate AI models.
Screening
The platform is likely to verify the depth and specificity of your cargo-surveying experience through follow-up questions. Be prepared to explain how you interpret logs and photographs, distinguish observation from inference, apply relevant international transport standards, assess competing causes of damage and document conclusions that the available evidence can support. Prior AI experience is not required, and previous consulting or remote-project experience is a plus rather than a stated requirement.
Logistics
This is a global-remote contractor engagement for approximately 10 hours per week. Work is flexible and can be completed on your chosen days and hours, including weekends if desired. Pay band: $20–60/hr
