What the work involves
You receive an image of a research or insights slide: a survey readout, a segmentation, a competitive landscape, a tracker wave comparison. Your job is to reconstruct it in Microsoft PowerPoint at a standard you would put in front of a client executive — supported action title, clear message hierarchy, the right exhibit for the data, legible labeling, base sizes and caveats intact. The reconstruction must not change what the research says. Rounding, re-basing, dropping a significance marker, or converting a stacked bar into something that implies a trend the data doesn't support are all failures, no matter how much cleaner the slide looks.
Every assignment ships with a written log. The log is not a summary — it is the actual training signal. You document each change, the principle behind it, and just as importantly what you chose to leave alone and why. Reviewers weight preservation reasoning heavily: a candidate who rebuilds everything indiscriminately reads as someone applying a template rather than exercising judgment.
What the platform screens for
micro1's screening is AI-led and conversational, with follow-ups that push on whatever you claim. Expect to be asked what you would do with a specific messy slide, then asked why, then asked what you'd do if the client disagreed. The screen is looking for a practitioner's reflexes: can you read a survey table and spot the low base, do you know when a waterfall beats a bar chart, can you articulate the difference between an action title and a label. Consulting-firm pedigree is explicitly deprioritized in favor of actual research and insights domain depth. Prior AI training experience is a plus, not a gate.
Logistics
- Fully remote, contractor engagement, sprint-driven and task-based
