What the work involves

You spend most of your time reading model output and deciding whether a nurse could act on it safely. A typical task queue mixes three things: judging whether an AI-written triage recommendation, discharge instruction, or medication explanation is clinically sound; writing your own gold-standard version of a nursing workflow — an assessment sequence, an SBAR handoff, a patient-education script at an appropriate reading level; and comparing two model responses side by side and justifying which better reflects nursing best practice. The justification matters as much as the ranking. A rating with no rationale is close to worthless as training signal.

The errors you are hunting are rarely dramatic. Models write fluent, confident clinical prose that omits a scope-of-practice boundary, skips the assessment step before the intervention, gives a dose that is plausible but wrong for the patient's weight or renal function, or reassures a patient who should be told to seek care now. Flagging what is missing is often the higher-value contribution.
