The work

You will complete real-world 2D and 3D CAD tasks in OpenSCAD, including creating parametric models with scripts, loops, functions, and reusable modules. Assignments may involve Boolean operations, transformations, extrusion, model modification, troubleshooting, and optimization. You will also record your screen and produce detailed prompts or instructions that explain each workflow step by step.

What the platform screens for

micro1 is looking for professional, hands-on OpenSCAD experience and evidence that you can build accurate, complex models rather than only describe CAD concepts. Screening is likely to probe your command of OpenSCAD syntax, procedural modeling, debugging, and the tradeoffs behind your modeling choices. English proficiency at B2 level or higher is required. A relevant master's degree or PhD, previous human data work, an OpenSCAD portfolio or GitHub projects, and experience in 3D printing, mechanical design, or procedural modeling are preferred rather than stated requirements.

Logistics

This is a remote contractor role. You need access to OpenSCAD and the ability to record your screen while completing tasks. The listing does not state whether the workflow is fully asynchronous or specify typical weekly hours, so candidates should be ready to give concrete availability and confirm any scheduling expectations during screening.
