The work
Contractors develop realistic, unclassified scenarios involving national security technologies, defense systems, and technical programs. Day-to-day tasks may include checking technical content for accuracy and operational relevance, identifying unsupported assumptions in complex decisions, assessing systems integration or program-management reasoning, and writing structured explanations for project deliverables.
What the screen assesses
The AI interview is likely to test whether you can substantiate your background with specific programs, responsibilities, technologies, and decisions while staying within unclassified boundaries. Expect follow-up on technology development, complex defense systems, technical program management, capability assessment, and how you distinguish a defensible conclusion from one that exceeds the available evidence. Experience with the DoD, DARPA, national laboratories, the intelligence community, comparable allied government organizations, systems engineering, technical leadership, technology strategy, or executive briefings is preferred rather than universally required.
Logistics
This is a remote contractor role with a flexible, project-based or task-based commitment. Project duration depends on customer requirements, and the listing does not provide typical weekly hours or explicitly confirm that all work is asynchronous, so candidates should clarify scheduling and turnaround expectations before accepting a project. The observed pay band is not guaranteed:
