What the work involves

You will listen to and read AI-generated music output — mostly lyrics, sometimes paired with audio — and score it against a written rubric supplied by the lab. A typical task might mean judging whether a K-pop-style verse actually follows the prompt, whether the word choice and slang read like something a Korean writer would produce or like translated English, and whether a line is uncomfortably close to an existing published song. Comparison work against known catalog material is a recurring part of the job, so a broad listening history across contemporary Korean genres matters as much as formal training.

Rubrics are detailed and written in English, and they change as the project matures. Expect to justify scores in short written comments, flag ambiguous cases rather than guessing, and occasionally disagree with a prior rater in a way that is legible to the researchers reading your work. Consistency across hundreds of items is what the lab is buying.

What the platform screens for

  • Verifiable music credentials. Songwriting, lyric-writing, performance, composition, or music journalism experience — credits, releases, bylines, or program names you can name.
  • Genuine native-level Korean, tested directly through a Bilingual Competency Interview conducted in Korean, plus enough English to work from dense written guidelines.
  • Evaluation judgment. Screens probe whether you can separate personal taste from rubric criteria, and whether you can articulate why a lyric fails rather than just that it does.
  • Scene knowledge under follow-up. Expect specific questions about artists, sub-genres, and lyrical conventions; vague answers do not survive a second question.
