The work

You will develop scenarios that test lawful and unlawful boundaries in military policy, support, and surveillance contexts. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing taxonomy boundaries, applying the law of armed conflict (LOAC) and international law, grading model responses, and documenting where legal conclusions depend on unresolved facts or authorities.

What the platform screens for

The screening is likely to test whether you can ground an analysis in specific legal frameworks, distinguish law from rules of engagement or policy, and explain uncertainty without becoming evasive. Relevant experience may include Judge Advocate (JAG) service, international humanitarian law, operational legal advising, policy review, teaching, consulting, or related military-legal work. Familiarity with AI governance, ethics, or AI-related legal frameworks is a nice-to-have, not a stated requirement.

Evaluation and collaboration

You will assess the soundness of model reasoning, the clarity of stated limitations, and whether a response engages appropriately with legitimate legal or policy questions. The work also involves written and verbal feedback, collaboration with other subject-matter experts, and reaching defensible conclusions on disputed cases.

Logistics

This is a remote contractor role. The listing does not specify whether work is fully asynchronous, the typical weekly hours, a project duration, or required overlap windows, so candidates should be ready to state their actual availability and ask how reviews are scheduled.
