What the screen is likely to cover

Expect detailed questions about ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS application rather than prior AI experience. The platform may test how you use the Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting and AHA Coding Clinic guidance, distinguish unsupported inference from codable documentation, explain complex decisions, and provide feedback that can improve an AI training workflow. Active CCS, CIC, or CPC certification is requested, and experience across acute care, outpatient, emergency department, or physician practice settings is preferred.

Logistics

This is a contractor role open to candidates working remotely in the US. The listing does not specify typical weekly hours or confirm a fully asynchronous schedule. Written collaboration is part of the work, but verbal communication with project stakeholders may also be needed to resolve requirements and documentation ambiguities. You must have access to current ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT code sets and the Official Coding Guidelines.
