The work
You will create materials science prompts and scenarios that probe safety boundaries, review tasks written by other experts, and classify requests as safe or unsafe. Each judgment requires a clear domain analysis explaining what makes the request acceptable, what risk-relevant information it seeks, and where it crosses a safety line.
What the platform screens for
The screen focuses on verifiable graduate training, command of a materials science specialty, and the ability to reason consistently about dual-use requests under follow-up. Prior AI evaluation, red teaming, or data annotation experience is preferred. A PhD or professional experience in metallurgy, advanced or energetic materials, nuclear materials, or national laboratory research is also preferred.
Logistics
The work is remote, flexible, and task-based, with no fixed weekly hours stated. Contributors must be citizens of the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand and must be physically located in one of those countries while working.
Pay band: $150/hr
