The work

You will review Bluebook and pincite grading rubrics for unclear, incomplete, or inconsistently applied rules. Day-to-day work includes identifying unaddressed edge cases and creating sample tasks that pair source material with realistically flawed citations, corrected answers, and rule-based explanations. Tasks may cover formatting, pincites, short forms, signals, parentheticals, and whether cited material actually supports a proposition.

What the screening emphasizes

The AI interview is likely to test whether you can describe verifiable law journal experience, apply Bluebook rules under follow-up, and explain the reasoning behind a correction. Expect to discuss examples of cite-checking or source collection, how you distinguish a clear error from an ambiguous case, and how you would improve a rubric that could produce inconsistent grading. No prior AI experience is required.

Logistics

This is a remote contractor role involving independent, deadline-based work. The listing does not specify weekly hours, a fixed schedule, or an asynchronous-work policy, so candidates should be ready to state realistic availability and confirm assignment volume and turnaround expectations during onboarding. Ambiguous citation issues should be escalated to project coordinators rather than resolved silently.
