The work

You will review existing Bluebook and pincite grading rubrics for unclear, incomplete, or inconsistently applicable rules. You will also create sample cite-checking tasks that pair source material with realistically flawed citations, then provide the correct citation and explain the governing rule. Assignments may cover formatting, pincites, short forms, signals, parentheticals, and whether a cited source supports the stated proposition.

What the screening assesses

The AI-led interview is likely to ask for specific examples from your law review or law journal work and follow up on how you handled difficult citations. Expect to demonstrate practical Bluebook knowledge, distinguish clear errors from defensible editorial choices, and explain how you would improve a rubric without silently resolving ambiguity. Prior AI experience is not required.

Logistics

This is a remote contractor role. The work is designed to be completed independently and delivered on schedule, but the listing does not specify weekly hours or confirm that all work is asynchronous. Ambiguous cases should be escalated to project coordinators rather than decided without documentation.
