The work
You will assess AI-generated answers to legal questions, check whether their conclusions and reasoning reflect the law in your jurisdiction, identify omissions or unsupported claims, and provide concise written feedback. Assignments vary by project and may use specific rubrics, quality standards and deadlines.
What Mercor screens for
The screening focuses on a current qualification and active legal practice in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, Australia or Japan. You should be native or fluent in the working language of your jurisdiction and able to demonstrate precise legal analysis under follow-up questioning. In-house, corporate and M&A, transactional, litigation and disputes experience is particularly relevant, but practising lawyers from other areas are also invited to apply.
Practical details
This is a fully remote, ongoing talent pool rather than a confirmed project placement. Applications are reviewed continuously, and Mercor may contact candidates as suitable work becomes available. Commitments are flexible and typically start at about 10 hours, with the possibility of more work, but neither placement nor hours are guaranteed. All project work is covered by an NDA.
Pay band: $100–140/hr
