The work
Junior Lawyers review and annotate agreements, case law, and other complex legal materials used to train legal AI systems. Day-to-day tasks may include Bluebook cite-checking, editing legal writing samples, assessing arguments and use of precedent, summarizing legal concepts, and validating AI outputs against U.S. legal standards.
What the screening is likely to assess
The platform will look for precise examples of legal research, document review, citation editing, or related paralegal work in the U.S. legal system. Expect follow-up questions on citation form, treatment of authority, logical gaps in legal arguments, and how you would distinguish a stylistic preference from a substantive legal error. Graduation from a U.S. law school with a J.D. is preferred, with a strong preference for alumni or current students of T14 law schools. For current law students, law review or legal journal editorial experience is required.
Practical details
This is a remote contractor engagement involving collaboration with project managers and legal experts. The listing does not state whether work is fully asynchronous, how many hours are typically available, or whether contributors must work within particular time zones, so candidates should confirm those points during onboarding. No prior AI experience is required. Pay band: $50–80/hr
