The work
You will review de-identified patient charts, assess two AI-generated responses to an infectious disease question and decide which response is stronger. Each evaluation requires a structured rationale addressing clinical accuracy, patient safety, completeness, clarity and consistency with current standards of care, plus explicit identification of errors that could cause harm.
What Mercor screens for
The application includes resume review, credential verification and a 25-minute conversational interview covering your training, current practice, experience and motivation. Expect follow-up questions that test whether you can cite specific clinical reasoning, distinguish consequential errors from minor omissions and evaluate an answer against the evidence contained in the chart. Required credentials include an MD or DO, qualifying infectious disease board certification, an active unrestricted US medical license, completed training and at least one year of independent post-training practice while currently seeing patients in the US; three or more years of post-training experience is strongly preferred.
Logistics
The project is remote, hourly and intended for flexible part-time participation, with an immediate start. The listing does not state a typical weekly commitment or explicitly confirm asynchronous scheduling. Pay band: $200/hr
