What the work actually is

This is not writing workout content. You are the domain authority behind AI-built fitness tools — progress trackers, habit loops, program generators — and your job is to make their logic deterministic and defensible. Day to day that means specifying discovery parameters (goal, training age, weekly frequency, available equipment), writing physiological guardrails as rules a machine can enforce (maximum week-over-week load increase, mandatory deload cadence, weekly set ceilings per muscle group), and verifying the math behind estimated 1RM, tonnage rollups, and exercise substitution lists. A large share of the output lands in spreadsheet form: formulas, validation ranges, and conditional structures that behave identically every time they run.

You will also co-design the interview workflows the AI uses to gather client context, then validate the context files it produces — workout logs, body-metric histories, multi-phase templates — and sign off on generated outputs against professional strength and conditioning standards. Sign-off is the accountable part of the role: when you approve an asset, it becomes the reference the model is trained and graded on.

What the screen is looking for

Turing's process starts with a Job Interest Form for shortlisted candidates, followed by a delivery interview. Expect the conversation to push past credentials into specifics: which periodization model you actually programmed and why, which e1RM formula you trust and where it breaks down, what numeric cap you would put on weekly load progression for a novice versus an advanced lifter. Candidates who answer in coaching philosophy rather than numbers, thresholds, and edge cases tend not to advance. Prior AI evaluation or QA experience is a plus, not a gate.

Logistics
