What the work involves

Two streams sit under one listing. The first is image work: you open dermatology photographs in a web-based evaluation tool, judge whether each image is diagnostically usable, and flag specific defects — blur, under- or over-exposure, colour cast, poor lighting, bad framing or missing anatomical context. Where the image supports it, you name likely conditions, assign a confidence rating, and write the rationale behind that call. The second is text work: reading AI-generated clinical content — differentials, treatment plans, patient summaries — and marking where it is wrong, incomplete, or actively unsafe for a dermatologic case, then explaining why in terms a non-clinician annotator or researcher can act on.

Volume and consistency matter as much as brilliance. You will apply the same rubric across hundreds of items, and your ratings will be compared against other dermatologists' on overlapping samples. Guideline documents change mid-project; the expectation is that you re-read them and adjust rather than default to how you did it last week.

What the platform screens for

  • Verifiable credentials. MBBS plus a completed dermatology residency, and at least five years of post-residency practice. India-based is stated as mandatory.
  • Calibrated diagnostic reasoning. Screeners probe whether you can say "insufficient image quality to commit" as readily as you can name a diagnosis, and whether your confidence ratings track reality.
  • Tolerance for graphic and sensitive material. Genital, paediatric, ulcerated and oncologic dermatology images are routine in these datasets.
  • Tool fluency. Comfort with zoom tools, structured questionnaires, long guideline documents and annotation platforms. Prior medical content review, clinical research or AI/ML evaluation experience is preferred but not required.

Logistics

Fully remote contractor assignment — no paid or medical leave. The stated commitment is at least four hours a day and forty hours a week, including four hours overlapping with PST, which in India means late evening or overnight work. Duration is twelve weeks. Selection runs through qualification review, a scored assessment, and a single interview round. Pay is undisclosed in this listing; treat any figure you hear elsewhere as observed rather than promised, and confirm the rate directly with the recruiter before committing hours.
