What the work involves

You receive scripts — character dialogue, narration, conversational prompts, sometimes dubbing or ADR-style passes against reference audio — and record them in native Brazilian Portuguese to a stated spec. Sessions are usually remote from your own treated space, with occasional in-studio work. Beyond the performance itself, a large part of the job is compliance with delivery requirements: correct sample rate and bit depth, consistent levels, no room tone shifts between takes, correct file naming, and takes delivered per-line or per-block as the project defines. Revision requests are normal and expected; you will be asked to re-perform lines with adjusted energy, pace, or read direction, and to match your own earlier takes so a dataset stays internally consistent.

What the platform screens for

  • Verifiable voice acting history — named projects, client types, studio credits, or a demo reel that shows range rather than a single read style.
  • Technical control of your chain — mic, interface, treatment, and whether you can hit a spec without guessing.
  • Direction-taking — whether feedback produces a genuinely different performance rather than a slightly louder version of the first take.
  • Native Brazilian Portuguese — regional accent awareness, and the ability to hold a neutral broadcast register or shift deliberately when asked.
  • Reliability under deadline, since AI dataset batches move in fixed windows.

Shortlisted candidates go through a delivery review — recorded work assessed against the brief — before any project assignment.

Logistics

Fully remote and freelance: a flexible agreement, not employment. Work arrives in batches, so hours are irregular — quiet weeks followed by a batch with a short turnaround. Pay is undisclosed on this listing; voice work on AI platforms is commonly quoted per audio hour, per script, or per finished minute, and you should ask which model applies and whether revisions are included before accepting. Contract extension depends on performance and continuing project need.
