What the work involves
You will create and edit SolidWorks parts and assemblies from technical requirements. Typical tasks include building constrained sketches, managing parametric features and feature trees, modifying existing designs, checking dimensions and tolerances, and assessing whether a model is suitable for manufacturing. You will also write detailed task prompts and instructions while explaining your modeling process step by step.
What the platform screens for
The screen is likely to test whether you can describe specific SolidWorks projects, defend modeling choices under follow-up, and identify errors in geometry, constraints, GD&T, or manufacturability. Strong professional SolidWorks experience, 3D parametric modeling, assembly work, and knowledge of manufacturing processes are preferred. Experience with FreeCAD, Fusion 360, or Autodesk Inventor is also preferred, as are CNC machining, sheet metal, injection molding, reverse engineering, human data work, and a relevant master's degree or PhD. English proficiency at B2 level or higher is preferred.
Practical details
This is a remote contractor role. You need access to SolidWorks and the ability to record your screen while completing tasks. The listing does not state whether scheduling is fully asynchronous or specify typical weekly hours, so confirm workload, deadlines, and meeting expectations during onboarding.
