What the work actually is

You are not doing marketing for Turing. You are authoring the problems a model gets graded on, and then judging whether its answers would survive a real planning meeting. A typical task might be: a mid-market B2B SaaS company with a $2.4M annual budget wants to enter Mexico and Colombia — produce the segmentation logic, positioning, channel allocation, and the measurement plan that proves it worked. You write the prompt, you write the reference solution to the pod's quality bar, and you write or apply the rubric that says why one model response is stronger than another.

The hard part is not knowing marketing. It is making your judgment legible. "This attribution plan is weak" is not usable feedback; "this attributes 100% of pipeline to last-touch paid search in a 90-day consideration cycle, which will overfund search and defund the content that seeds it" is. You work under senior review, take calibration feedback from a Functional SME Lead, and iterate — people who treat review notes as negotiable tend not to last.

What the screen is looking for

  • Real ownership, not adjacency. Eight to fifteen years across brand, product, growth, or integrated marketing, with leadership scope. Budget ownership, agency management, and accountability for campaign ROI are checked with follow-ups, not taken at face value.
  • Analytical depth. Attribution models and their failure modes, incrementality and holdout testing, experiment design and when a test is underpowered, cohort and lifecycle measurement.
  • Cross-channel breadth. Paid media, content, lifecycle, partnerships, and offline in one plan, with defensible reasons for the split.
  • Evaluation temperament. Willingness to grade against a rubric rather than personal taste, and to explain a score in writing.

LATAM and US market experience is specifically in scope — multi-market work where the same positioning has to hold across different buying behaviours is a strong signal.

Logistics

Fully remote and contractor. Commitment is at least 4 hours per day, up to 40 hours per week, with a minimum of 4 hours overlapping Pacific time — that overlap is a real constraint for LATAM candidates in eastern time zones and a hard one for Europe. The engagement runs up to nine weeks and may or may not extend. Shortlisted candidates receive a Job Interest Form before onboarding steps. Pay is undisclosed on this listing; ask for the rate and the unit it's paid in before you sign.
