The work

You will create realistic problems based on government or public agency work, then assess how well AI models handle them. Assignments may involve budgets, grant administration, program reporting and spreadsheet-based analysis, with attention to errors that an experienced public sector professional would catch.

What the platform screens for

Afterquery is looking for professionals with at least five years of experience as a budget analyst, grants manager, program evaluator or in a similar government or public agency role. Screening is likely to test whether you can describe specific work products, explain budget or grant decisions under follow-up, inspect spreadsheets methodically and distinguish material errors from acceptable differences in approach. A bachelor's degree or higher, hands-on spreadsheet experience and strong written English are required. Experience at more than one level of government and federal grant management are preferred, as is a master's in public administration or public policy.

Working arrangement

The work is fully remote, part time and designed for a flexible schedule. Projects are completed on an hourly basis, and the listing does not state a fixed weekly commitment or typical number of hours. Because the work involves creating tasks and submitting written evaluations on your own schedule, candidates should be prepared for largely independent project work.
