What the work involves

You author OT scenarios that look like real referrals: a 78-year-old post-CVA discharging to a two-story home with a bathroom upstairs, a client with moderate cognitive impairment whose caregiver works days, a hand therapy patient six weeks post flexor tendon repair asking about returning to work. Each scenario needs a reference answer that spells out the functional reasoning — not just the recommendation, but why this adaptive strategy over that one, what assessment finding drives it, and what would change the plan. The second half of the job is grading: you read model output and judge whether it is safe, practical in the actual environment described, and centered on what the client wants rather than what a textbook protocol prefers.

The most valuable thing you contribute is catching recommendations that read beautifully and fail in a real home. Models routinely suggest equipment that will not fit the doorway, home programs that assume a caregiver who is not there, transfer techniques that ignore the client's actual UE strength, or goals written in a way no payer would authorize. That gap — plausible prose versus workable plan — is precisely what the labs are paying to have annotated.

What the platform screens for

The screen is AI-led and follow-up heavy. Expect verification of your NBCOT certification and active license, then domain probes that push past the first answer: name the assessment, describe what a specific score means for discharge planning, walk through how you would modify a home program when the client refuses the recommended equipment. Screeners also test evaluation judgment — you will likely be shown a model response and asked what is wrong with it and how badly. Answers that hedge everything as "it depends on the client" without ever landing on a decision score poorly.

Logistics

  • 100% remote, fully asynchronous, no scheduled calls or live sessions
  • Minimum 10 hours per week; you set your own hours and there are no productivity quotas
  • Paid hourly via Stripe, weekly, at observed rates of $70–105/hr depending on specialization and calibration performance
  • Ongoing project work rather than a fixed-term contract; volume varies by lab demand
  • Pediatric, hand therapy (CHT), home health, and cognitive/neuro rehab backgrounds are actively sought but not required
