The day-to-day work centers on defining how nuclear and radiological content should be evaluated for safety, security, and nonproliferation risk. You may develop assessment frameworks, set escalation thresholds, benchmark risk judgments, and review technical guidance used to train advanced AI models.
A central part of the role is deciding how sensitive or classified subject matter can be abstracted safely while preserving enough technical meaning for legitimate evaluation. You will document decision rationales and work with multidisciplinary stakeholders to balance information security, regulatory or policy obligations, and legitimate scientific progress.
The platform is likely to screen for concrete nuclear-domain experience, knowledge of international safeguards and weapons-relevant controls, and judgment developed in sensitive technical environments. Expect follow-up questions about specific evaluations, compliance protocols, or risk assessments, but do not disclose classified, controlled, proprietary, or otherwise restricted information during screening. Prior AI experience is not required.
This is a remote contractor role. The listing does not specify whether work is asynchronous, a weekly hour range, a fixed schedule, or project duration.
