The work
You will interpret requirements, Concepts of Operations (ConOps), interface control documents (ICDs), and architecture specifications, then express them as SysML v2 textual models. Day-to-day tasks include developing reference architectures, preserving traceability from source artifacts, reviewing AI-generated models, and documenting specific technical corrections.
What the platform screens for
The screening is likely to test hands-on SysML v2 textual modeling rather than general familiarity with model-based systems engineering. Expect follow-up questions about requirement decomposition, interface modeling, traceability, ambiguity resolution, and how you would build a rubric that distinguishes syntactic validity from semantic and architectural correctness. Experience in aerospace, space, defense, automotive, maritime, or communications is beneficial but not required, while exposure to AI, ML, rubric design, or model review is advantageous.
Logistics
This is a remote contractor role with asynchronous written and verbal collaboration. The listing does not state a fixed schedule or typical weekly hours, so candidates should be ready to provide realistic availability and explain how they handle clarification and review cycles across a distributed team.
Pay band: $55–120/hr
