The work

You will design difficult, verifiable life sciences problems and assess AI-generated answers for scientific accuracy, reasoning quality, and methodological soundness. Day-to-day work may include writing reference answers, building detailed scoring rubrics, checking claims against primary literature, and determining whether proposed experiments or computational analyses support their conclusions.

Scientific scope and screening

The work can span genomics, transcriptomics, single-cell and spatial omics, epigenomics, proteomics, metabolomics, microbiome research, metagenomics, structural biology, drug discovery, systems biology, and clinical or translational research. micro1 screens for a completed relevant PhD, hands-on laboratory research, professional written and spoken English (C1 or higher), precise explanations, and the ability to connect experimental design with computational analysis. Wet lab experience, academic research appointments, and peer-reviewed publications are strongly preferred.

Practical details

This is a remote (worldwide) contractor role. The listing does not state whether the work is asynchronous, how many hours are typically available, or whether any timezone overlap is required, so candidates should confirm those details during the application process.
