What the work involves

This listing is unusual for Sidequest in that phase one is not evaluation work at all — it is a single deliverable. You complete a consent form authorizing a research organization to access your personal ChatGPT history, follow the provided instructions to link or export that history, and supply the email address tied to your personal ChatGPT account (often different from your Mercor login). You then self-verify against the eligibility list using step-by-step instructions. That is the whole of phase one.

Phase two is ongoing project work on the same research program, offered by invitation to experts who complete phase one cleanly. It is not guaranteed and it is not part of the data-sharing step. The $50/hr band is what has been observed on related Mercor language programs; phase one is deliverable-based rather than hourly, so treat the rate as indicative of phase two work rather than a promise attached to the consent form.

What the platform screens for

  • Account facts, not claims. Conversation count over the past nine months, account age of more than three months, at least one saved memory, and whether the account is personal rather than employer-issued or enterprise.
  • Language of use. Your conversations must be predominantly in Bahasa Indonesia — not merely your fluency, but what language you actually typed in.
  • Residency and education history. Based in Indonesia, native Bahasa Indonesia speaker, with at least three to five years lived and studied in the country.
  • Comfort with disclosure. You are handing over real conversation history. Screens probe whether you have understood that and whether your account holds anything proprietary or confidential that would put it out of scope.

Logistics

Fully remote and asynchronous. The required ChatGPT Power User Interest Form appears as a step inside the application — there is no external link, and applications submitted without it are discarded. Verification by the research organization can take up to two weeks after you submit the consent form, so expect a quiet gap before any phase two invitation. Phase one takes well under an hour; phase two hours depend on the project and are set at invitation.
