The work
You would create challenging, non-searchable biology tasks and reference solutions involving construct design, protocol planning, assay troubleshooting and computational analysis. Day-to-day subject matter may include molecular cloning, primer and CRISPR design, PCR or qPCR, functional genomics, sequence analysis and cell-based assays.
Model and data evaluation
You would review model outputs and step-by-step reasoning for biological feasibility, identify technical errors and provide precise written feedback. The role also involves developing specifications, grading rubrics and verification processes for data produced by external technical teams, then aligning judgments with other biology specialists.
What the screening emphasizes
Expect the platform to verify a relevant PhD, recent hands-on bench or computational work and breadth across organisms, model systems and methods. Strong responses will use specific projects to explain experimental controls, design tradeoffs, failure modes and how you distinguish a plausible answer from one that would fail in practice. Scientific software and AI tools are part of the workflow, but coding is not required.
Logistics
This is a part-time engagement through Cincinnatus LLC or an appropriate international entity, with the opportunity for placement on a leading AI lab's extended workforce. The required commitment is at least 20 hours per week during weekdays; the listing does not specify whether the work is remote or whether scheduling is asynchronous. Pay band: $70–100/hr
